Our SIA-licensed security officers protect businesses across Guildford
Every Guildford business has its own security risks. A shop on the cobbled High Street faces different problems from a technology company at Surrey Research Park or a construction site off the A3. Our approach covers commercial premises of every kind, protecting against theft, vandalism, disruption and anti-social behaviour. Whether you run retail premises in The Friary, offices near the University of Surrey or a unit on the edge of town, we plan manned guarding and mobile patrols around how your site actually operates.
Providing tailored security services for clients across Guildford.

Our Security Services in Guildford
Quantum Group provides a full range of security services for businesses and organisations across Guildford:
Manned Guarding
Our manned guarding services place trained, uniformed officers at your Guildford premises to provide a visible deterrent and immediate on-site response. We supply static guards for corporate reception areas at Surrey Research Park, front-of-house security for retail premises along the High Street and in The Friary, night-shift officers for commercial buildings, and gatehouse personnel for business parks and industrial estates. Each officer is fully briefed on your site protocols, emergency procedures, and escalation processes before their first shift.
Mobile Patrols
For businesses requiring regular security checks without a permanent on-site presence, our mobile patrol services provide scheduled and randomised patrols across Guildford town centre, Stoughton, Park Barn, Merrow, Burpham, Shalford, and the surrounding areas. Patrol officers conduct thorough external and internal inspections, verify that premises are secure, check for signs of forced entry or damage, and provide detailed electronic reports after every visit. This service is particularly effective for commercial properties, vacant buildings, and organisations managing multiple sites across the Guildford area.
CCTV Monitoring and Installation
Our CCTV monitoring and security services provide real-time surveillance of your premises, monitored by trained operators at our control centre. We design, install, and monitor camera systems for retail units, office buildings, car parks, university facilities, and construction sites throughout Guildford. Advanced analytics, motion detection, and remote access capabilities give you remote visibility of your site, with immediate escalation when suspicious activity is detected.
Keyholding and Alarm Response
When your alarm activates in the early hours, you need a professional response rather than a personal trip across town. Our keyholding services and alarm monitoring services ensure that a trained officer responds to every activation, investigates the cause, secures the premises, and reports back to you with a full incident summary. We hold keys for commercial premises across Guildford and the wider Surrey area, providing reliable peace of mind for business owners and property managers who cannot always be on call themselves.
Retail Security
Guildford is one of Surrey’s premier retail destinations. The Friary shopping centre, the independent shops along the historic High Street, and the retail units around North Street and Commercial Road all face persistent challenges from shoplifting, organised retail crime, anti-social behaviour, and internal theft. Our retail security services deploy experienced loss prevention officers who understand the retail environment intimately. They work in both uniform and plain clothes, using proven techniques to reduce shrinkage, deter offenders, and create a safer shopping experience for customers and staff alike.
Construction Site Security
Guildford continues to see significant development activity, from residential projects in the town centre to commercial builds along the A3 corridor and infrastructure improvements across the borough. Our construction site security services protect materials, plant, machinery, and equipment from theft and vandalism. We deploy site guards, mobile patrols, temporary CCTV systems, and access control measures tailored to each phase of construction, working closely with developers and main contractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Corporate Security
Guildford’s position as a corporate hub — home to Surrey Research Park and the headquarters or regional offices of numerous national and international companies — creates a strong demand for professional corporate security services. We provide reception security, access management, visitor screening, executive protection, and workplace security assessments. Our corporate security teams help organisations maintain a safe, professional environment that protects employees, visitors, and commercially sensitive information.
Event Security
From sold-out performances at G Live and productions at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre to outdoor events at Stoke Park, university functions, corporate conferences, and community gatherings, Guildford has a rich and busy events calendar. Our event security services provide crowd management, access control, stewarding, VIP protection, and emergency planning. We scale our teams to match events of any size, from intimate private functions to large-scale public festivals, ensuring every gathering runs safely and smoothly.
Access Control and Risk Assessment
Our access control services regulate who enters your premises, using systems ranging from manned reception desks to electronic card access, intercom systems, and biometric solutions. For technology companies and research facilities at Surrey Research Park, robust access control is particularly critical. Combined with our thorough risk assessment services, which identify vulnerabilities and recommend practical, proportionate countermeasures, we help you build a security posture that is proactive rather than reactive.

Response Times
Our headquarters at Manor Royal in Crawley is a short drive from Guildford. For clients on active contracts, we plan patrol routes and keyholding arrangements across the Guildford area, so the nearest available officer can be sent as soon as an alert comes in rather than travelling out from our base each time.
Local Knowledge
We prioritise officers who know Guildford. They understand how the town centre gyratory affects getting around, where the access points are for The Friary and North Street, and how the University of Surrey campus and Surrey Research Park are laid out. That local understanding leads to better patrol routes and more effective site plans.
Accountability
Every officer we deploy in Guildford holds a valid SIA licence and has passed background checks before their first shift. Patrol visits and alarm responses are logged and reported back to you, so you can see what was checked and when. If anything needs to change, you speak directly to our team at Manor Royal.
Community Investment
We are a local business ourselves, based in Crawley and working across Surrey and Sussex. We want Guildford's shops, offices and venues to be safe places to work and visit, and we approach every client relationship in the town with that in mind.
